Protecting womanhood starts with taking breast safety seriously.
Breast safety belongs in the flag football gear conversation. A direct hit to the breast during a catch, dive, or collision can cause soreness and bruising. Athletes should feel comfortable speaking up about breast pain after a hit. On punt returns, in formats that use punts, a returner worried about chest contact may try to trap the ball low against her stomach. Changing the catch point at the last second can make a clean catch harder and leave room for a muff.
BRAGUARD pairs a racerback sports bra with four ribbed pads designed to cushion direct hits across the front and outer chest, with the goal of helping reduce impact-related soreness and bruising. A hard, chest-high throw can also reach the body before a receiver secures it. BRAGUARD is designed to give athletes a padded option so they can focus on tracking and securing the ball with confidence.
